European Breaking Championships 2023: B-Boy Menno and B-Girl Nicka claim gold medals in Almeria - results
In addition to continental titles, the event also had Paris 2024 qualifying points at stake

B-Girl Nicka of Lithuania and B-Boy Menno of the Netherlands captured continental titles Sunday (7 May) at the 2023 European Breaking Championships in Almeria, Spain.
With ranking points towards qualification for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 up for grabs as well as European titles, Nicka, just 15 years old, held off Ukraine's B-Girl Stefani 3-0 in the final to claim gold. France's B-Girl Syssy won the bronze medal.
"I feel so happy and grateful because to become European champion is a big honor and to represent my country Lithuania, I'm so happy to go out there and take first place," Nicka said afterwards. "I was feeling so happy on the stage. On the stage, I feel like I am being myself. I'm so happy."
Menno beat compatriot B-Boy Lee 2-1 in the final to claim the title. Spains' B-Boy Xak was the bronze medallist, beating 2022 European champion B-Boy Danny 3-0.
"This victory means a lot to me. Really happy to win, it gives me a lot of confidence," Menno said. "It's been two very long days, and it's a blessing to end it like this."
Danny, the recent Breaking For Gold Rio winner, lost his semi final against Menno.
The top four B-Boys and B-Girls qualify directly to the 2023 European Games, while the top two in each division earn automatic berths to the Olympic Qualifier Series.
