Andre De Grasse, Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake and Brendon Rodney will be awarded their Olympic silver medals on Saturday (29 July) at the Canadian national trials in a medal reallocation ceremony, according to the Canadian Olympic Committee.

The Canadian athletics team finished third in the 4×100 metres relay event held at Tokyo 2020 two years ago, but CJ Ujah of the British team tested positive for doping, and they were eventually stripped of their silver medals in 2022.

The People's Republic of China have also been moved up from fourth to third after the disqualification of Great Britain.

The 4×100 metres relay final was won by Italy in 37.5 seconds.
