Ferdinand Omanyala rounded off a great night for Kenyan athletes with victory in the 100m at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday (21 July).
Omanyala did not make the best of starts but picked up strongly at halfway to go into the lead.
Letsile Tebogo came home with a late rattle, but Omanyala just held on to win in 9.92 ahead of 9.93 for the man from Botswana.
Ackeem Blake was third in 10.00 ahead of his fellow Jamaican and 2011 world champion Yohan Blake.
It was Omanyala's first Diamond League victory and one which ensured qualification for September's Diamond League Final in Eugene.
