Badminton schedule 2025: BWF World Tour Final and World Championships among big-ticket events for shuttlers

The 2025 badminton season promises to be a crucial one for Indian shuttlers.

Besides the customary BWF World Tour events, the world championships and the World Tour Finals, Indian badminton players will also be competing in the Sudirman Cup and various Asian tournaments.

The Malaysia Open BWF Super 1000 tournament, slated in the second week of January, will be the first event on the 2025 badminton schedule. The caravan will move to New Delhi for the India Open - a BWF Super 750 event.

The prestigious All England Open is scheduled for the second week of March while the Badminton World Championships will be held in Pattaya, Thailand, from September 7 to 14.

The Sudirman Cup, the premier mixed-team badminton championship in the world, will be held in the People’s Republic of China from April 27 to May 4.

Three back-to-back tournaments - the Syed Modi International Super 300 tournament in Lucknow and two other India Super 100 tournaments – will be played in India late in the season.

The customary BWF World Tour Finals, from December 10-14, will wrap up the 2025 badminton season.
