Olympic champion Logan Martin is leading the overall World Cup ranking before the last stop in Bazhong.

The 2023 BMX Freestyle World Cup season finishes in Bazhong, People’s Republic of China on 13-15 October with the possibility of earning more Olympic qualification points in the race to reach Paris 2024.

Ahead of the final round, Olympic champion Logan Martin and Olympic silver medallist Hannah Roberts dominate the overall men's and women's standings respectively. They will be hoping to get the job done in Bazhong and add another trophy to their already impressive collections.

The UCI World Cup in Bazhong is the fourth and last stop in the 2023 World Cup Series, with the other events having taken place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, Montpellier, France and Brussels, Belgium.

Riders to watch at the BMX Freestyle World Cup Park in Bazhong 2023

Australian Olympic champion Logan Martin holds a comfortable lead before the final leg of 2023, after winning the first and second stops in Diriyah and in Montpellier.

However, the Tokyo 2020 gold medallist has to watch out for Anthony Jeanjean, who was victorious at the latest stop in Brussels.

The French three-time European champion took the win ahead of 2022 world champion Rim Nakamura and Martin.

Kieran Reilly, the newly crowned world champion, is also featuring on the start list. The Briton also claimed the 2023 European Games, and he will be a serious contender in Bazhong.

In the overall World Cup men's rankings Martin has 2820 points, USA’s Marcus Christopher is in second place on 2110 and Jeanjean sits in third with 2070.

Hannah Roberts also holds a significant lead in the women’s field on the overall World Cup rankings.

The five-time world champion has been challenged since claiming the first stop in Diriyah. 18-year-old Zhou Huimin has afterwards won the events in Montpellier and in Brussels. On home soil, the teenager will be eager to complete a hattrick.

Sun Sibei, also 18 years old and from China, quests for her first World Cup event victory following a silver medal at the World Championships in Glasgow in August.

Before the last stop, Roberts is on 2800 points, Zhou 2350 and Sun 2110 on the overall rankings.
