Biography

Andrey Rublev's tennis journey began at three years old, guided by the echoes of his family's athletic prowess. With a former boxer-turned-restaurateur father and a tennis-teaching mother, the Moscow native was destined to shine on the ATP tour.

As a junior, Rublev's star shone brightly, winning the Roland-Garros junior championship in 2014 at 16 years old. The same year yielded him singles bronze and doubles silver at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games.

His transition to the professional circuit was close to seamless. In 2017, he notched his first ATP Tour title in Umag, overcoming Paolo Lorenzi in the final. The Moscow native has now amassed 16 titles on the circuit including Masters 1000 triumphs at Monte-Carlo in 2023 and Madrid 2024.
