Milano Cortina 2026 has selected the SharePoint platform as its new digital workplace solution and launched it under the name “Space26” in June. The project has been driven by the OCOG’s Technology, People Management and IKL Functional Areas.

With the support of the IOC Technology team, Milano Cortina 2026 worked relentlessly to guide all FAs in the successful data migration from previous repositories to their new SharePoint sites. More than 53,500 files have been migrated and a total of 133 SharePoint pages created for internal and external collaboration purposes. There is also a new communication portal for employees to access corporate information, news and other content.

Ambassadors and Games Information Hub

SharePoint Online enables a better way of working by guaranteeing the ability to collaborate online, upload large files and access documents from any device, with the major advantage of avoiding duplicates or working on different document versions.

To effectively execute the project, increase the quality of communication and manage the sites, over 40 ambassadors, acting as “site owners”, have been appointed as points of reference for each FA.

The IKL team also decided to create and manage a specific section in Space26 called “Games Information Hub”, which provides a single point of reference for key documents, useful information and quick links related to the Games.
