SUSTAINABILITY

The IOC is committed to integrating the fundamental principles of sustainable development in the organisation of the 7thWorld Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport, following the international standards ISO 20121 on event sustainability management. We do this through the adoption and implementation of Best Practices, we wish to inform you about, whilst asking for your support and dedication to the sustainability cause.

This Conference is promoting responsible waste management; the selection of products and services are delivered by supporting companies and suppliers that share our sustainability values and adhere to high social and environmental standards.

We minimise the use of printed materials at the event, encouraging the adoption of digital solutions to reduce paper consumption. We have implemented measures to reduce food waste, promoting responsibility in sourcing, distribution, and consumption of food during the conference. Our Catering partner have been working hand in hand with the local humanitarian association La MARAUDE, which collects our food surplus at the end of the day and provides it to the most deprived individuals. This effectively reduces waste while also providing charitable support to those in need.

We encourage all participants to take an active part in the event organisation's efforts to reduce environmental impact.
