How many countries and athletes participate in the Olympic Games ?
There are no countries participating in the Olympic Games, but rather athletes from National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
Athletes from the territories of 206 National Olympic Committees and the IOC Refugee Olympic Team (EOR) will take part at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The participating athletes will be known when the sports entries are finalized and all National Olympic Committees had their Delegation Registration Meetings shortly before the Games. At the Olympic Winter Games, there are usually around 2,900 athletes from more than 80 NOCs taking part in the competitions.
