How many countries and athletes participate in the Olympic Games ?
There are no countries participating in the Olympic Games, but rather athletes from National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
Athletes from the territories of 204 National Olympic Committees, the Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN) and the IOC Refugee Olympic Team (EOR) took part in the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The participating athletes will be known when the sports entries are finalized and all National Olympic Committees had their Delegation Registration Meetings shortly before the Games. The list of athletes is available here.
At the Olympic Winter Games, there are usually around 2,900 athletes from more than 80 NOCs taking part in the competitions.
