Kaillie Humphries won an historic gold medal at Beijing 2022 when she claimed victory in the first ever Olympic monobob competition. The 36-year-old was one... of the driving forces behind the inclusion of a second bobsleigh event for women in the Olympic programme. She finished ahead of USA teammate Elana Meyers Taylor who took silver, with bronze going to Christine de Bruin (CAN). Humphries won the 2-woman bobsleigh in Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, and claimed a bronze in PyeongChang 2018, all while competing for Canada. In Beijing, she had to settle for a 7th place finish with her partner Kaysha Love.
