Sally Fitzgibbons: Keeping the fire burning after 15 years at the top
Sally Fitzgibbons knows first-hand the positive impact that female role models can have. Her fire for competition was lit when she saw Cathy Freeman race to gold at the Sydney 2000 Olympics and later strengthened by a line-up of world champion Australian female surfers. Now her story is coming full-circle: Fitzgibbons is inspiring the new generation ahead of Australia’s next home Games at Brisbane 2032.
