The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 is heading to Incheon from 24-26 October for the next stage of the Asian leg.
After a thrilling few days of action in Shanghai, the top swimmers will stop in the Republic of Korea to continue their World Cup campaigns.
Maiden World Cup medallists Leon Marchand and Kate Douglass lead the rankings following the first stop in the People’s Republic of China, but that can all change with Noe Ponti and Regan Smith respectively barely behind the pair.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of the next stop in Incheon.
World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 Incheon: Swimmers to watch
Marchand returned to competition in China for the first time since his dream run at Paris 2024, winning his first three World Cup medals and setting both a competition and European record in the men’s 200m medley.
The men’s events are stacked with plenty of talent beyond the Frenchman as well. Ponti impressed last time out by breaking a 25m-pool world record in the men’s 50m butterfly, while the likes of Duncan Scott and Pieter Coetze are in fine form too.
It could not be tighter in the women’s rankings between the top two American swimmers. Douglass leads the way with a tally of 59.1 points in total, while Smith trails by just 0.1 points going into Incheon.
Siobhan Bernadette Haughey of Hong Kong, China put in a solid performance with three golds, building her World Cup tally to a total of 22 medals.
Meanwhile, the Chinese duo Yu Yiting and Tang Qianting will hope to build on their home races and move up the rankings.
