Biography

Regan Smith is one of the world's premier women's backstroke swimmers.

Despite not qualifying for an individual spot in the 100m backstroke, Smith also broke the World Record in that event with a split of 57.57 in the 4x100m relay, which Team USA went on to win also in World Record time.

The Lakeville Stanford graduate proved her versatility at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 by winning silver in the 200m butterfly and bronze in the 100m backstroke.

While Kaylee McKeown of Australia broke Regan's 100m backstroke world record in 2021, Smith roared back to the top of the world in 2022 with victory in the 100m back at the 2022 World Championships.
