Only two teams remain in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament 2024, with Iowa set to meet South Carolina in Sunday’s showpiece final.

SC Gamecocks are aiming for their third national title under three-time Olympic gold medallist Dawn Staley, while Caitlin Clark and her Hawkeyes teammates are eyeing redemption from 2023’s championship game, in which Angel Reese’s LSU pipped them to the title.

Sunday's showpiece marks a repeat of last year’s Final Four clash, with Iowa coming out on top.

The Hawkeyes booked their spot in the 2024 Championship game with a narrow victory over UConn, which included a controversial call in the dying seconds of the final quarter, despite the latter being able to keep Clark relatively quiet by her standards.

South Carolina’s Final Four knockout clash with NC State looked to be a tight affair following the first two quarters, finishing 16-16 and 16-15, but a big third quarter from the Gamecocks (29-6) saw them move into cruise control.

Despite the Wolfpack edging the fourth, South Carolina subsequently won 78-59 in their pursuit of a third title under Staley.

The NCAA championship game will take place on Sunday 7 April.
