The 25-year-old has experienced a roller-coaster start to the new season so far, struggling with ankle injuries that initially affected her power.
After a disappointing World Cup performance in Japan, she rebounded to take silver in the women's 500m in Beijing, before sealing the Dutch national 1000m title.
The 2025 European Championships will take place on the long course oval in Heerenveen, Netherlands, where Leerdam dominated in front of a roaring crowd at her national championships.
The 1000m Olympic silver medallist from Beijing 2022 will be hopeful of defending her continental 1000m crown and improving her silver medal in the 500m from last year.
