With many of us staying home, we're sharing inspiring and emotional moments to help us all stay safe and cope with these challenging times.

Friendship, excellence, and respect are the three core Olympic values, and we have been touched by the way the sports world has responded to these challenging times.

And not just Olympians either.

The Olympic family as a whole, and that's all of us, has come up with brilliant ways to help and lift each other up.

Here's a collection of tweets, posts, memes, gifs, gags, and messages that have brought us inspiration and motivation - and made us smile!

We want this to be as interactive as possible so please comment, say hi, tell us how you're doing and send ideas, stories, and your own inspirations on Instagram or Twitter.

All times below are Central European Summer Time (UTC +2 hours).

6:30 pm – Good night

Thanks for joining us again today.

Keep safe and healthy wherever you are, and don't forget to come back to the Olympic Channel for more updates and past Olympic replays.

6:15 pm – Indoor swimming

Wait, what?

Yep, as this video from USA Swimming shows, with a bit of creativity, you can swim even indoors at home.

And stage a comeback, while you're at it.

5:50 pm – Helping in the community

If you're able to and not constrained by stay-at-home orders, one thing you can do is help out in your community.

That's exactly what U.S. trampoline gymnast Charlotte Drury has done.

5:18 pm – Nadal and Federer check in

Rafael Nadal, the men's world number two tennis player, and the greatest Grand Slam champion of all time Roger Federer have checked in with their fans from their home training sessions.

Speaking in Spanish, Nadal sent a video message saying: "Here we are in difficult moments, but there are less of them left, and as of today I am trying to make a change, to be positive, and count the days that have passed as there are fewer left. Keep going!"

Federer, meanwhile, posted a video of himself playing tennis in the snow against the wall in his front yard – "like in the old days".

4:55 pm – It's aerobics time!

Japanese basketball player Tawatari Ryo of the Yokohama B-Corsairs has laid down an "#AerobicsChallenge."

Judging by the responses, no one seems to have taken it but his mates – including NBA star Hachimura Rui – are loving it.

3:15 pm – A message from the athletes of the Americas

Panam Sports' athletes commission, representing athletes from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean, have put out a video message to their fellow athletes in these trying times.

2:40 pm – Home climbing

Here's sport climber Josh Levin making do with what he has to compete on this year's "bouldering World Cup circuit".

2:05 pm – Musical interlude

Stepping away from athletes at home for a moment.

The French National Orchestra came together – from their own homes – to play this famous piece of music, Bolero by Ravel.

Olympics fans will know it best as the music to which Torvill and Dean skated to win Winter Olympic gold for Great Britain in 1984.

1:31 pm – Juggling pro

Nurse, Olympian, and Australian hockey goalkeeper Rach Lynch has swapped her "daily struggles for daily juggles".

Can anyone do better?

12:55 pm – Instagram lives

We have not one but two Instagram live specials over on the Olympic Channel Instagram page today.

In five minutes, Tonga's Pita Taufatofua returns for more home workouts.

Then, in a little over an hour, we'll be joined by British skateboarder Sky Brown for a one-to-one chat.

12:32 pm – Talented Hugo

Some people just have all the talent, don't they?

World number 7 Hugo Calderano isn't just good at table tennis, he's also very handy with a Rubik's Cube.

11:58 am – Video-chat training

No pool? Need to train synchronisation for a team sport? No problem.

See how the girls of the U.S. artistic swimming team are keeping their training sessions going.

11:22 am – Working from home?

You're not alone.

So is Olympic swimming champ Joe Schooling, Singapore's first Olympic gold medallist.

10:45 am – Makeshift indoor tennis with Novak

Hello and welcome to the Olympic Channel's rolling updates from athletes in home quarantine.

We start today with Novak Djokovic, who's found a new way to play tennis indoors.

Watch out for the windows, Novak!
