Friendship, excellence, and respect are the three core Olympic values, and we have been touched by the way the sports world has responded to these challenging times.

And not just Olympians either.

The Olympic family as a whole, and that's all of us, has come up with brilliant ways to help and lift each other up.

Here's a collection of tweets, posts, memes, gifs, gags, and messages that have brought us inspiration and motivation - and made us smile!

We want this to be as interactive as possible so please get in touch, say hi, tell us how you're doing, and send ideas, stories, and your own inspirations on Instagram or Twitter.

All times below are UTC/GMT.

19:40 That's all folks

That's all for today. Hope you've been amused and entertained by some of the posts on here today and don't forget there's the Classic FInals Channel through the night.

Coming up shortly is the Women's Football Final from Sydney 2000 between Norway and the United States.

Also don't forget to turn your clocks forward an hour if your country has Daylight Saving.

Thanks for reading and join us again soon.

19:35 One more meal suggestion

If you've been working out today, here's a good recipe to refuel.

Any mild white fish would probably do if you don't have monkfish to hand, but this is a simple and relatively quick dish to prepare.

It's just one of a plethora of food ideas for athletes in 'Transform My Meal'.

18:25 Discover Body+

There are plenty of Original Series on Olympic Channel to entertain and inform if you're stuck at home.

Just released is Body+ with stories of inspirational athletes who are redefining body norms and achieving great things.

Ibrahim Hamadtou is one such sportsperson, representing Egypt at the Paralympic Games in table tennis despite losing both his arms in an accident aged 10.

Incredibly, he plays the sport by holding the bat in his mouth.

Check out all the episodes of Body+ here.

18:00 Catch up on Pita's weekend workout

Today was Day Six of Pita Taufatofua's daily workout and, if you missed it, you can watch it now below.

The topless Tongan - who represented his country at Rio 2016 and PyeongChang 2018, and will do so again at Tokyo 2020 - has tomorrow off but he'll be back again on Monday for another 10-minute session at the regular time of 1100 GMT.

Make sure you join him on the Olympic Channel Instagram then, and catch up on all of this week's workouts here.

17:50 Sam Ward gets creative

Earlier this month, hockey player Sam Ward spoke of his desire to represent Great Britain at a second Olympic Games despite losing most of the sight in his left eye when he was struck by a ball in November's Olympic qualifiers.

Ward is staging his own 'Isolation Olympics' at home during the UK's COVID-19 lockdown, and showing he's more than capable of laughing at himself.

17:15 Air Jordan and the Dream Team

Exactly 30 years ago today, Michael Jordan scored a career-high 69 points for the Chicago Bulls in an overtime win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

'His Airness' was one of the greatest basketball players in history, winning six NBA titles and winning the NBA's MVP award five times.

But he says being part of the original Dream Team at Barcelona 1992 was his career highlight.

Enjoy the clip below and then watch 'The Story of the Dream Team' featuring interviews with Jordan, Magic Johnson, and the late David Stern.

16:25 Shaq being Shaq

Plenty of athletes and ex-athletes have been very open about how they're feeling about Coronavirus and the postponement of Tokyo 2020.

Meanwhile, Atlanta 1996 gold medallist Shaquille O'Neal doesn't seem to have any room for negative thoughts.

The big man just wants to bust some moves and make us smile.

16:15 More mealtime recipes

When you're stuck in the house, thoughts inevitably turn to food more often than before.

Athletes know all about making sure they eat the right things, and you don't need to be a cordon bleu chef to cook up something tasty and nutritious.

Here's a recipe for pasta with tomato and aubergine (eggplant) which even I could put together.

You can find plenty more like these in 'Transform My Meal' on the site.

15:50 The joys of working from home with children

Plenty of parents will be able to relate to this one...

London 2012 long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford appeared on Breakfast TV in the UK this morning to talk about how to stay active during COVID-19 restrictions.

Just as he was giving advice on how to keep children occupied, this happened...

13:45 Walkden finds the target

Rio 2016 taekwondo bronze medallist and three-time world champion Bianca Walkden is pretty useful with her feet with flying kicks a big part of her armoury.

She's also a big Liverpool fan, and could get a call-up from the Reds when football resumes judging by this...

13:15 Enjoy some classic encounters on the Classic Finals Channel!

There's nothing quite like a thrilling relay to get the heart pounding.

You can catch one of the best shortly on Olympic Channel's newly-launched Classic Finals Channel with Charlotte Kalla's incredible anchor leg giving Sweden an epic victory in the Women's Cross Country 4x5km at Sochi 2014.

After that, there's the men's football final from Atlanta 1996 with Nigeria scoring an historic victory over a stellar Argentina line-up, followed by Neymar and co's dramatic triumph for Brazil over Germany at Rio 2016.

Find the full Classic Finals Channel schedule below.

12:25 Try a new sport this weekend

Bit bored indoors? Then try a sport using some everyday items around the house.

Bit of a twist if you were born in October, November or December - you've got to play blindfolded!

Give it a go, film it, and tag us on Instagram or Twitter.

12:00 Food for fuel for fencers and more

If you're stuck in the house and struggling for meal ideas, Olympic Channel is here to help.

Check out our original series 'Transform My Meal' with athletes making some of their favourite dishes.

Rio 2016 team epee gold medallist and multiple world champion Gauthier Grumier is a big fan of gnocchi and not much else.

Here, he jazzes up his favourite meal with the help of Nicolas Beaumann, a chef at the Michelin-starred Maison Rostang restaurant in Paris.

11:45 - Katie Taylor adds juggling to her training

With Ireland one of the latest countries to adopt lockdown measures, London 2012 boxing gold medallist Katie Taylor might be short of sparring partners for a while.

The 33-year-old's world title defence against Puerto Rico's Amanda Serrano, scheduled for May, has been postponed but Taylor is staying sharp with juggling and other ball sports.

A little 'Did you know?'... Taylor played international football for the Republic of Ireland before switching to boxing.

I'm not sure how I'd fare on this first exercise, to be honest...

10:50 - Get fit with the topless Tongan

Just a few minutes to go now before Tonga's Summer and Winter Olympian Pita Taufatofua starts the latest of his live 10-minute workouts.

He gets underway at 11:00 on Olympic Channel's Instagram.

And you can catch up on all his previous workouts here.

10:35 - Naomi Osaka supports Japan after Olympic postponement

Tennis star Naomi Osaka has posted a message for her Instagram followers following the postponement of Tokyo 2020 until next year.

The two-time Grand Slam winner expressed her disappointment that it won't happen this year but added, "This is the time for people from all countries, backgrounds and races to rally together to save as many lives as we can.

"To the people of Japan: stay strong, hang in there, and let's show the world our beautiful country when the time is right in 2021."

10:30 - Clarisse Agbegnenou's daily workout

Hello and welcome to our daily blog bringing you the most inspirational, funny, uplifting, and emotional social media posts from the Olympic family as we live through these difficult times together. Stay with us throughout the day!

France's Four-time judo world champion Clarisse Agbegnenou is the latest Olympian to rise to the challenge of providing you a daily workout.

Agbenenou is in self-isolation in Reunion, the French overseas island some 500km east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, and she demonstrates some exercises for judokas and non-judoka alike.
