Three-time Olympic gold medallist Ryan Crouser has announced his engagement to long-time partner and former athlete Megan Clark.
The shot put sensation shared the news on Instagram on Thursday (17 October), writing: “She said yes!
“Thank you Trentino, Lake Garda will always have a special place in our hearts.”
It has been quite the year for Crouser, having successfully defended his Olympic title at Paris 2024.
With a throw of 22.90 metres, the 31-year-old secured a third consecutive gold, making him undefeated since debuting at Rio 2016.
He and Clark have a shared love of sports, the latter competing in track and field during college before deciding to specialise in pole vault.
She turned pro after her time at Duke University but ultimately retired from the sport in 2021.
Not only does Clark support her husband-to-be in his sporting endeavours, but she also helps him on and off the track.
“I’ve definitely taken some of her training and implemented it into my own,” he told Olympics.com in an exclusive interview earlier this year.
“She's big into yoga and flexibility and mobility; so at this stage in my career, mobility is key, so I’m doing yoga with her.”
