American gymnast Gabby Douglas is one of a handfull U.S. gymnasts to ever compete at back-to-back Olympic Games and, along with Aly Raisman, one of two to win two team gold medals at consecutive Games.
Douglas is also the first African American to clinch the Olympic all-around title, and she is the first ever gymnast from Team USA to take gold in both the individual all-around competition and the team event at the same Games.
