What counts as failure in sports? Nothing, according to basketball super star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
When asked if he considered the Milwaukee Bucks' season a failure, following their elimination from the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the superstar from Greece replied: "There's no failure in sports... It's not a failure, it's steps to success."
"There's good days, bad days. Some days you are able to be successful, some days you are not... and that's what sports is about," he added in the post-game press conference.
The man affectionately known as the Greek Freak also looked back on the career of an all-time of men's basketball great, saying: "Michael Jordan played 15 years, won six championships... the other nine years was a failure?"
