A three-time European Champion

Jade Jones clinched her third consecutive women’s under-57kg title at the European Championships. With gold medals from London 2012 and Rio 2016, Jones could become the first Team GB woman to win three individual gold medals at three different Olympic Games.

Joining the 300-club

American Carli Lloyd has joined an elite club in international football by reaching her 300th career cap in a friendly against Sweden. Lloyd is just the third players in history, female or male, to have played 300 international games - former United States representatives Christie Pearce Rampone (311) and Kristine Lilly (354) are the other two.
