Reigning world champion Ilia Malinin and Higuchi Wakaba were among the victors at Skate America 2024, the first stop of the 2024/25 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating.

World ice dance champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates had to settle for second behind British duo Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson, while Japan's Miura Riku and Kihara Ryuichi were comfortable winners in the pairs event in Allen, Texas.

This was the first of six regular season Grand Prix competitions with the top six skaters (or duos) qualifying for December's Grand Prix Final in Grenoble, France.
