No one in international cricket comes close to Sachin Tendulkar, the lone owner of a century of centuries, when it comes to logging three-digit scores with the bat at the highest level.
The Master Blaster, though, has never scored a century in T20 internationals, which hardly comes as a surprise considering Sachin’s made only one T20I appearance in his illustrious career. He scored 10 runs against South Africa at Johannesburg in the match.
However, Sachin Tendulkar has made his mark on T20 cricket, particularly while playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians, for whom he played 78 matches scoring 2334 runs.
He has also played in the Champions Trophy with MI and has represented Mumbai in an Inter-State T20 tournament in 2007, which takes his number of T20 appearances to 96, including the solitary T20 international.
Before his retirement from the sport in 2013, a year which also saw him win the IPL with MI, Sachin Tendulkar scored one century in T20 cricket - an even 100 not out against Kochi Tuskers at the Wankhede in IPL 2011.

On April 15, 2011, Sachin Tendulkar played a captain’s innings for MI to lead the team to 182/2 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers.
Opening for his team, Sachin Tendulkar scored an unbeaten 100 off just 66 balls, striking at a rate of over 150. The innings featured 12 fours and three sixes.
It was also the fifth century by an Indian player in IPL history after Manish Pandey (2009), Yusuf Pathan (2010), Murali Vijay (2010) and Paul Valthaty (2011).
However, MI ended up losing the contest courtesy of a 128-run opening stand between Brendon McCullum and Tuskers captain Mahela Jayawardene.
Sachin Tendulkar’s second-highest score in T20 cricket, an unbeaten 89 against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, came in the previous season in 2010. The campaign saw Sachin win the IPL Orange Cap with 618 runs and lead MI to their first-ever IPL final before eventually losing the title decider to Chennai Super Kings.
The Master Blaster has also scored 16 half-centuries in T20 cricket. Of these, 13 were registered in the IPL, two for Mumbai in a 2007 inter-state competition and the other, again for MI, but in the 2010 Champions Trophy against Guyana.
