2019 ISSF World Champion Rahi Sarnobat continued her rich vein of form in the women's 25m pistol event at the National Shooting trials at the Dr Karni Singh shooting range in New Delhi as she once again triumphed over fellow Olympic quota holders Chinki Yadav and Manu Bhaker.

Sarnobat shot 38 on day two, bettering her previous day score of 36, to win the T2 trials. Yadav also had a better final round but fell short by a point to topple the champion. She started with a perfect 5 but her form kept fluctuating which saw Sarnobat take the lead and move ahead.

Annu Raj Singh came third with 29 while, Manu Bhaker, youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup, came fourth with a score 25.

On day one, the Maharashtra-born shooter shot two 5's and three series of 4's.

Bhaker topped the qualifiers with a score of 582, but her form dipped in the finals and had to settle for a third and fourth-place finish on day one (27) and day two (25) respectively.

In shotgun, Lakshay Sheoran and Rajeshwari Kumari won the men's and women's T1 Trap competition respectively.

Sheoran defeated Adhiraj Rathore 46-42 in the finals, while Kynan Chenia, who had finished first in qualifiers with a solid 121, could manage only a fourth spot with 29 points, behind Air India's Zoravar Singh Sandhu.

Meanwhile, Kumari reigned supreme in the women's category by topping not only the qualifiers but also the final round scoring 110 and 43 respectively. Second-placed Shreyashi Singh could gather only 36.

In the Junior T1 Trap trials, Shapath Bharadwaj of Uttarakhand won the men's competition while Delhi's Kirti Gupta triumphed in the women's event.

Earlier, Haryana shooter Nischal edged past Tejaswini Sawant to win the T2 women's 50m rifle 3 position trials. While fellow Tokyo-bound shooter Anjum Moudgil came third.
