Prime Volleyball League 2023: All scores, results and points table

Prime Volleyball League (PVL) 2023, the second season of India’s premier volleyball league, concluded on March 5 with Ahmedabad Defenders defeating Bengaluru Torpedoes to lift the title.

Courtesy of the win, Prime Volleyball League 2023 champions Ahmedabad Defenders also qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship 2023, which will be held in India from December 6 to 10 later this year.

The seven teams who competed in the inaugural season - Kolkata Thunderbolts, Kochi Blue Spikers, Calicut Heroes, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes and Chennai Blitz - returned for the second season. Mumbai Meteors joined the roster, making PVL 2023 an eight-team affair.

PVL 2023 featured a total of 31 matches. Each team played the other seven teams in a single-legged round-robin format in the group stage. The top four teams at the end of the league stage - Ahmedabad Defenders, Kolkata Thunderbolts, Calicut Heroes and Bengaluru Torpedoes - qualified for the semi-finals.

Bengaluru Torpedoes defeated Kolkata Thunderbolts and Ahmedabad Defenders beat Calicut Heroes to make the PVL 2023 final.

PVL volleyball matches will see 15-point sets instead of the regular 25 points.
