Tottenham will eye the top of the Premier League 2020-21 table when they play Manchester City in matchweek 9. Watch the EPL live!
Premier League 2020-21 returns post the international break with Tottenham Hotspur looking to go top of the table when they host Manchester City on Saturday in matchweek 9.
With league leaders Leicester City and third-placed Liverpool due to clash a day later, even a draw would suffice for Tottenham, currently second, to take over the top spot temporarily. Fans can watch Tottenham vs Manchester City on TV and live streaming in India.
In their first full season under Jose Mourinho, Tottenham have been in fine form with an undefeated run in Premier League 2020-21 since their 1-0 loss to Everton on the opening day.
The likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min have hit the ground running for Spurs in the EPL. Kane, in particular, has been lethal scoring 13 times in his 14 matches in all competitions this season.
New signing Gareth Bale is also settling into the first team well and in the three, Mourinho possesses a lethal trio up front capable of troubling any defence.
Spurs, however, will be without defender Matt Doherty after the Irishman tested COVID-19 positive during the international break.
Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, will be without Nathan Ake after the centre back picked up an injury during international duty. Raheem Sterling, too, missed England's match against Iceland after picking up a knock but may be fit for Saturday's tie.
Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho are nearing full fitness after missing out City's last few matches owing to injuries and will provide a huge boost for Guardiola.
City have largely been below their lofty standards in the EPL this season. Despite losing just once in their seven Premier League matches so far, Guardiola's men have had to settle for three draws and are currently tenth on the table with 12 points. Tottenham have five points more, having played eight.
