Team GB Olympic trampoline gold medallist Bryony Page is running away to join the circus.

The 33-year-old, who struck gold at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 after claiming silver at Rio 2016 and bronze at Tokyo 2020 in 2021, will train with the famed Cirque du Soleil group in Montreal, Canada.

Page hopes to join a show in 2025.

"I love the idea of performing in the show and using trampoline in a different way,” she said, according to the BBC.

"When I compete and there's a crowd, I see it as a performance just as much as I see it as a competition," Page continued. “I love that side of it, that performance side, with the costumes and the make-up and the set and the music and the team."

The two-time world individual champion still has competitive goals in the sport, including a golden repeat at LA 2028.

Her triumph this year, she says, still hasn’t quite sunk in.

"I know it's happened and I have a medal to prove it to myself, but I still can't really process how it's happened and that it actually has,” said Page.
