Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are due to face each other for what could potentially be the last time the two meet on the world football stage on Thursday (19 January).

Messi, who won the FIFA World Cup with Argentina last month, is set to line up for his club side Paris Saint-Germain in a friendly against a Riyadh all-stars combined XI.

Ronaldo, who left Manchester United in December by mutual consent, is set to feature for his new club Al Nassr for the first time since signing, albeit unconventionally as they combine with fellow Saudi club Al-Hilal.

It will be the first time in just over two years the pair lock horns in a potential farewell for one of football's greatest rivalries as the two continue their journies on different continents.
