Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo maintained his superb form in the 200m at the inaugural Grand Prix Brescia on Sunday (8 September), which featured 16 medallists from Paris 2024.

The 21-year-old from Botswana, who beat Kenny Bednarek and 100m hero Noah Lyles to take gold in the French capital, showed his customary back straight speed to ease away from his rivals at the Gabre Gabric Stadium and win in 20.66.

Double Olympic 4x400m relay gold medallist Vernon Norwood clocked 20.75 for second, just ahead of Belgium's Kobe Vleminchx.

Tebogo calls Brescia his "second home" having prepared for Paris 2024 there. As well as winning 200m gold, he helped Botswana to silver in the men's 4x400m relay.

Next up on the track, Tokyo 2020 Olympic 100m hurdles champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn got the better of Paris gold medallist Masai Russell for the second time in three days.

The Puerto Rican star, who took bronze in Paris, won in 12.88, just three-hundredths ahead of her American rival having also beaten her in Thursday's Zurich Diamond League meeting. They were well clear of home athlete Giada Carmassi in third.

Having completed the long-distance track double in Paris, Kenya's Beatrice Chebet cruised to victory in the women's 3000m in a time of 8:34.10.

Grenada's London 2012 Olympic champion Kirani James won the men's 400m in 44.86 with Tebogo's compatriot Bayapo Ndori.

Jamaica's Rohan Watson ran 10.48 to take the men's 100m with compatriot Michael Campbell second in 10.53.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist and former world record holder Dalilah Muhammad was only fourth in the women's 400m hurdles with local favourite Ayomide Folorunso taking first place in 55.41.

Kenya's Tokyo Olympic 1500m silver medallist Timothy Cheruiyot won the 800m in Brescia in a season's best time of 1.45.46, while Paris 2024 relay gold medallist Alexis Holmes of the United States took the women's 400m in 51.32.
