The La Liga 2022-23 football season starts on Saturday with defending champions Real Madrid eyeing a record-extending 36th title. The Spanish league will kick off with Osasuna taking on Sevilla in the early hours of Saturday in India.
Real Madrid, blessed with a forward like Karim Benzema and wingers like Brazilian duo Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, have reinforced their defence by signing Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who was instrumental in the team’s UEFA Champions League win last season, will be another key member of Los Blancos setup if they are to defend their title for only the second time in the last 30 years.

To accommodate the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, there will be no La Liga matches for seven weeks, starting November 10. The season will resume on December 31.
