European and Olympic champion Janja Garnbret dominated the women's lead on day one of the IFSC Climbing World Cup competition in Koper, Slovenia on Friday (2 September)
The 23-year-old – considered by many the best competitive climber of all time – impressed in front of her home crowd in Slovenia at the start of the two-day event.
She was the only athlete to top in the semi-finals on Friday evening, setting her up for an assault at the title on Saturday.

The event in Koper is taking place on a new wall, which was finished earlier this year, at the city's Plus Climbing Centre and Bonifika Stadium complex.

- 8pm–10:30pm: Women's and men's lead semi-finals
Saturday 3 September
- 8pm: Men's lead final
