Olympian Mairaj Ahmad Khan and former Commonwealth Games double trap champion Shreyasi Singh will lead a 12-member Indian shooting contingent at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Almaty 2023 in Kazakhstan from Saturday, May 20.

The competition in Almaty is the penultimate stage of the ISSF World Cup for shotgun shooters. The final stage will be held in Lonato, Italy before the ISSF World Championships take place in November at Doha. The Almaty Shotgun World Cup events will be live streamed.

Mairaj Ahmad Khan will lead India’s challenge in skeet while Shreyasi Singh will be India’s best bet in women’s trap.

In men’s trap, Bhowneesh Mendiratta, who became the first Indian to win a quota place for the Paris 2024 Olympics at the ISSF world championships last year, will also be in action. Mendiratta will be joined by Prithviraj Tondaiman, who won a bronze medal in men’s trap at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Doha 2023 in March.

More than 230 shooters from 41 countries will be vying for medals in Almaty across individual and team events. The ISSF World Cup Almaty will conclude on May 28.

Where to watch ISSF World Cup Shotgun Almaty 2023 live in India

Live streaming of the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Almaty 2023 will be available on the ISSF’s YouTube channel. Only the finals of each event will be streamed live. There will be no live telecast of the event on any TV channel in India.

The finals of all skeet events and the trap men's and women's events will be live streamed on Olympics.com.
