India will take on New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The IND vs NZ cricket match is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM IST and will be available on live streaming and telecast in India.

India vs New Zealand cricket matches in ICC events have produced some pulsating contests over the years. However, the Kiwis will be under pressure against the high-flying Indian cricket team, which is unbeaten in the tournament so far.

While New Zealand’s win against two-time champions India would take the Kiwis to their third successive final appearance in the ODI World Cups, India’s victory would see them make the final for the first time since winning the title in 2011. India lost to Australia in the 2015 semi-finals and were beaten by New Zealand at the same stage four years ago in Manchester.

Conversely, New Zealand kicked off their campaign with four consecutive wins but faced a setback against India in their fifth match and lost momentum. They endured defeats against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan in the following matches before securing their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Sri Lanka in their last league match.

India’s Virat Kohli is the top-scorer at the ODI World Cup with 594 runs and will look to hold the middle-order together against the likes of experienced pacers Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson.

The Indian cricket team, meanwhile, has the lethal Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja in its lineup. All three Indian bowlers are in the top 10 wicket-takers list in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have also been among the runs.

For New Zealand, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell have been the most consistent with the bat. The winner of the IND vs NZ semi-final match will take on either South Africa or Australia in the final of the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 scheduled on Sunday.
