Leading the men’s field is Germany’s Christopher Grotheer, the reigning Olympic champion and three-time world titleholder, whose dominance makes him the man to beat. Hot on his heels are compatriot and Olympic silver medallist Axel Jungk and Britain’s Matt Weston the rising star who, after a stellar 2023/24 season that saw him claim the World Cup title, is eager to challenge Grotheer’s supremacy.
On the women’s side, Kimberley Bos of the Netherlands enters as the World Cup ranking leader, carrying the weight of her historic bronze medal from Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and ambitions for greater glory in the pre-Olympic year.
