The inaugural 2024 CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup is here, with hosts USWNT one of the nations favoured to lift the brand new footballing trophy.

The USWNT head into the maiden edition of the tournament off the back of a disappointing 2023, having failed to make it past the Round of 16 at last summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The past twelve months have been dubbed a transitional period for the four-time world champions, following their poor World Cup performance and announcement of Megan Rapinoe’s retirement.

However, things began looking up for the nation once it was announced that current Chelsea boss Emma Hayes would take charge of the USWNT following the culmination of this year’s Women’s Super League season.

In what will now be interim manager **Twila Kilgore’**s final tournament in charge, the USWNT find themselves in Group A and will begin their Gold Cup campaign against Argentina, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
