How to watch Shericka Jackson live at Diamond League in Oslo and Stockholm
Shericka Jackson laces up for her third race this month and season at the 2024 Oslo Diamond League on Thursday (30 May).
Fresh off a victory in the 200m at the fourth round of the Diamond League in Marrakech, the world champion remains the hot favourite for the half-lap race at what’s dubbed the Oslo Bislett Games.
The Jamaican athlete will line up against familiar faces, including Ivorian three-time African champion Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith, Great Britain’s Olympian Daryll Neita, who won the 200m at the Suzhou Diamond League, and Americans Jenna Prandini, Brittany Brown and Anavia Battle. Kone Maboundou, the Ivorian who was second behind Jackson in Marrakech, will also be on the starting line for the 200m.
Four days later, on 2 June, Jackson will be back in action for the Stockholm Diamond League, where she will face the same trio of Americans she will race in Oslo, along with Great Britain's Amy Hunt and Maboundou again.
The 29-year-old, who won three bronze medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is looking to build on her impressive 2023 season when she won the world 200m gold in Budapest.
She remains a top contender to break Florence Griffith-Joyner's 200m world record of 21.34 set way back in 1988.
