Olympic team bronze medallist Alice Kinsella took the women's all-around title at the Gymnastics British Championships in Liverpool on Saturday (25 March).
With Jessica Gadirova opting to concentrate on qualification for Sunday's apparatus finals, Kinsella went head-to-head with Ondine Achampong who was also part of Britain's team which won silver at last year's World Championships.
Kinsella looked a little disappointed after her uneven bars landing on her final rotation, but her score of 13.700 was enough for a winning total of 55.300 with Achampong (55.000) posting a 13.200 on floor.
Georgia-Mae Fenton took third place with a total of 51.600.
Gadirova was fourth on uneven bars, where Becky Downie took first place, and on beam with twin sister Jennifer only 12th and Kinsella posting the highest score.
Max Whitlock excels on pommel as Adam Tobin takes all-around
Max Whitlock was the star attraction in the men's and posted a massive score of 15.100 to qualify first on pommel horse.
The three-time Olympic gold medallist also qualified for the finals of the parallel bars (third) and horizontal bar (fifth).
Adam Tobin, who was Britain's alternate at the World Championships where the men took team bronze, produced the best score of the day on parallel bars - a 14.250 - to snatch the all-around title.
Tobin's total of 82.500 saw him take victory from world team bronze medallist Jake Jarman (81.800) with Whitlock's South Essex team-mate Pavel Karnejenko (81.400) in third.
The 22-year-old from Barnstaple, North Devon also topped qualifying on horizontal bar.
