Nothing compares to the thrill of experiencing the incredible skill, speed and daring of alpine skiing in person, not to mention the après ski celebrations that follow. North American fans will have four opportunities during the 2024/25 season to cheer on the world’s best ski racers racing downhill, super G, slalom and giant slalom.

The U.S.-based World Cup skiing events will feature the top ski racers in the world. Among them Team USA athletes including two-time Olympic champion and the winningest alpine skier in history Mikaela Shiffrin and Beijing 2022 Olympic silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle along with a deep international field including Olympic giant slalom champions Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt and Sweden’s Sara Hector.

This roster of domestic World Cups includes a landmark moment for U.S. ski racing as Sun Valley, Idaho is set to host the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2024-2025 Finals in March. The roster also includes women’s slalom and giant slalom at Vermont’s Killington Resort, and the opening of men's and women's speed season in Colorado at Beaver Creek, with women ready to take on the famed Bird of Prey downhill course for the first time ever.

The Killington Cup at Killington, Vermont

The Killington Cup to be held 30 November to 1 December, 2024 will be the singular opportunity for Northeast fans to experience Word Cup racing. The event will feature the fastest female ski racers competing in slalom and giant slalom on the resort’s signature Superstar trail. All eyes will be on Team USA’s Mikaela Shiffrin as she is on track for her historic 100th World Cup win.

The Birds of Prey at Beaver Creek, Colorado

The Birds of Prey will open the World Cup speed season with back-to-back weekends of competition with two separate events for men and women on the famed Birds Of Prey downhill course. As is tradition, the men will kick it off with downhill, super G and giant slalom races schedule from 6 to 8 December. Then the women take over from 14 to 15 December. It’s been nearly a decade since Beaver Creek last hosted women's alpine racing and this winter the resort will be doing it in historic style as, for the first time in history, the women will run downhill on the Birds of Prey race course. The weekend will also feature a women's super G competition.

The Sun Valley Finals at Sun Valley, Idaho

Sun Valley, Idaho has successfully hosted four U.S. Alpine Ski Championships going back to 2016, but this season, from 22 to 27 March, the resort will host the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2024-2025 Finals marking a significant moment for North American ski racing. The top skiers in each discipline—downhill, super G, giant slalom and slalom—will fight for overall titles in front of an American crowd during this weeklong competition and accompanying celebration featuring the world’s best alpine skiing.
