England win gold and silver in mixed 10m platform synchronised diving; Scotland claim first ever gold
England's Noah Williams and Andrea Spendolini Sirieix win gold, while Kyle Kothari and Lois Toulson claim silver, with Australia's Cassiel Rousseau and Emily Boyd bagging bronze at Birmingham's Sandwell Aquatics Centre on Monday (8 August), the final day of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The final day at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games saw home nation England claim the top two spots in the mixed 10m platform synchronised diving courtesy of Andrea Spendolini Sirieix and Noah Williams winning gold and Lois Toulson and Kyle Kothari, silver.
The quartet joined forces and leapt into the pool in delight following the medal ceremony after adding to England's biggest diving medal tally at a Commonwealth Games with six golds, four silver and five bronze, which left them top of the diving medal table.
Cassiel Rousseau and Emily Boyd claimed bronze to contribute to Australia's medal total of four gold, three silver and three bronze.
Spendolini Sirieix and Williams had been in first place since the second round and their fourth dive of five, an inward 3.5 somersault, sent the crowd into raptures when the score of 84.48 populated the scoreboard.
Toulson and Kothari went into second place in the third round, and stayed there, saving their best dive for the last round, a back 2.5 somersaults with 1.5 twists scoring 76.80.
Rousseau wasn't quite on the form that took him to men's 10m platform gold the previous day, but came away with bronze alongside Boyd, after scoring a total of 309.60.

Mixed synchro 3m springboard
The pairing of James Heatly and Grace Reid celebrated a first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in diving for Team Scotland after winning the mixed synchro 3m springboard in the early morning session.
The duo increased their score incrementally throughout the competition with their final dive, a forward 3.5 somersault, the best, scoring 74.40.
Performing the first dive of each round, the Scots were always in a medal position and when the England pairing of Benjamin Cutmore and Desharne Bent-Ashmeil made an error on their final dive – going from second to fourth – the Scots hugged it out.
Silver medallists Shixin Li and Maddison Keeney claimed silver with Malaysia's Muhammad Syafiq Bin Puteh and Nur Dhabitah Binti Sabri coming away with bronze.
