After holding Chelsea to a 1-1 draw Thursday (27 April) at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain, Barcelona has reached the Women's Champions League Final.
Barcelona won the first semi-final leg on 22 April at London's Stamford Bridge, 1-0, meaning Chelsea needed to win by two in order to advance to the final.
In Thursday's second leg, the score was tied at 0-0 through half time. It was Barcelona's Caroline Graham Hansen who was the first to score. She found the back of the net in the 63rd minute.
That lead was short lived, however, with Chelea's Guro Reiten answering back some four minutes later.
With work still to do, Chelsea was desperate for a second goal to force extra time but couldn't come up with it.
The Women's Champions League Final is set for 3 June. Barcelona's opponent will be determined on Monday (1 May) in a match between Wolfsburg and Arsenal. Their first leg ended in a 2-2 draw.
