Lara Gut-Behrami survived a late mistake to win the giant slalom alpine skiing FIS World Cup race in Kronplatz, Italy, on Tuesday (30 January).
The Swiss finished 0.59 seconds clear of second-placed New Zealander Alice Robinson on Run 1, and produced the third-best second run after a late wobble to seal her third giant slalom victory in of the season.
Robinson sealed silver, while Sweden's reigning giant slalom Olympic champion Sara Hector completed the podium with bronze.
"To do something like that is unbelieveable," an exhaused Gut-Behrami said after.
"I'm happy about the result, but I don't have a clear mind to know what's going on right now! I hope I can keep on skiing like that this season."
Italian downhill Olympic gold medallist Sofia Goggia finished fifth, while her compatriot and three-time Olympic medallist, Federica Brignone, was sixth.
Mikaela Shiffrin did not start in Kronplatz following her crash in the downhill in Cortina d'Ampezzo on 26 January, but retains the overall lead, just 95 points ahead of the chasing Gut-Behrami.
