Live streaming, AFC Champions League 2023-24: Mumbai City FC await draw - where to watch

The AFC Champions League 2023-24 draw for the group stages will take place at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The AFC Champions League 2023-24 draw will start at 1:30 PM IST and will be available on live streaming in India.

A total of 40 teams, divided into 10 groups of four, are set to compete in what will be the 21st edition of Asia's top-tier football club competition.

Out of 10 groups, five will comprise teams from West Zone (groups A to E) and five will see teams from East Zone (groups F to J). 

The top teams from each group along with the three best second-placed teams from each zone will progress to the knockouts starting from the round of 16. 

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, who lost to Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds in the final last year, along with Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), Persepolis (Iran), Al Sadd (Qatar), Pakhtakor (Uzbekistan) are placed in pot 1 from the West Zone.

India’s Mumbai City FC, who won the Indian Super League Shield earlier this year, are placed in pot 3 (West Zone). The Indian football club will be competing in the AFC Champions League for the second time in-a-row.

Mumbai City FC scripted history last year by becoming the first Indian club to register a win in the AFC Champions League. However, they finished fifth among the second-placed teams across groups and could not progress further.

The AFC Champions League 2023-24 group stages will commence on September 18. Each team will face the other three teams from their group twice for a place in the knockouts beginning in February next year. The AFC Champions League 2023-24 final will be held over two legs in May 2024.

Live streaming of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 draw will be available on the AFC Hub YouTube channel from 1:30 PM IST onwards in India. There’s no live telecast of the draw in India.
