The first two spots for the inaugural breaking event at Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be awarded today (13 May) as the 2023 WDSF African Breaking Championship in Rabat, Morocco heads into its final phase.
Yesterday, at the Theatre Mohamed V, hundreds of breakers hit the dance floor battling it out in elimination rounds, hoping to make it to the second day of action.
Now, eight B-Boys and eight B-Girls remain with just two 60-second battles left standing between them and the title.
And, for the Olympic hopefuls, the stakes couldn't be higher.
The 2023 Africa Breaking Championship marks the second continental event this year in the Breaking for Gold World Series after the European showdown in Almeria, Spain.
It is one of a handful of continental qualifiers that guarantees the winners a direct ticket to the upcoming Games.
