The biggest names in women's golf will be in action at the first major of the year at the new-look Chevron Championship at The Club in Carlton Woods, Texas, from 20 to 23 April.

The prestigious tournament has attracted the world's top-20 players, including all of last year's major winners: defending champion Jennifer Kupcho, Minjee Lee (US Women's Open), In Gee Chun (Women's PGA Championship), Brooke Henderson (Evian Championship), and Ashleigh Buhai (Women's British Open).

World number one Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko will also be among the top women teeing off at Club Carlton Woods.

2023 Chevron Championship - Players to watch

The world's top players will be looking to stamp their authority in the LPGA's first of five major championships of the year. Among the contenders is New Zealand's Lydia Ko, who won the season-ending LPGA Tour Championship to be crowned the Player of the Year. Ko will be looking to build on her stellar 2022, where she claimed three LPGA Tour victories to secure her place as the world's top-ranked player.

Ko, who won the tournament in 2016, will be joined by previous winners, including defending champion Kupcho, Patty Tavatanakit (2021), Mirim Lee (2020), Jin Young Ko (2019), and Stacy Lewis (2011).

Olympic gold medallist Nelly Korda will return to the tournament after she missed last year's edition due to injury. South Africa's Ashleigh Buhai, who lifted the British Women's Open, is the last LPGA major winner on the 2022 calendar. She will be looking to build on that performance in search of her second career major title.

Thai prodigy and 2022 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, Atthaya Thitikul, will also be among the star-studded field.
