Germany dominated the opening Luge events, with Merle Malou Fraebel (GER) taking the Gold Medal and Jessica Doreen Degenhardt (GER) the Silver. Diana Loginova (RUS) completedd the podium with Bronze. In the Men's Double it was the turn of Jaeger/Steudte (GER) to win Gold. Silver went to Rinks/Liepins (LAT) and the Bronze went to Karnaukhov/Chirva (RUS)
