Ahmed HAFNAOUI

Ahmed Hafnaoui stunned the world when he won the men's 400m freestyle Olympic gold medal at Tokyo 2020.

Ranked 16 in the world, the Tunisian was the slowest qualifier for the final, but blasted home in 3:43:36 to take the title.

Hafnaoui sat out of competition for a year in 2022 in order to focus on his studies and qualify to swim for Indiana University in the United States.

Now back competing, he is building an exciting rivalry with USA's Bobby Finke in the distance freestyle races.
