Biografia

Tobi Angerer is one of the most successful male German cross-country skiers of the 21st century. He won the Overall World Cup in 2005-06 and 2006-07 as well as the Tour de Ski in 2007, the first German to do so. He has also won four silvers (relay – 2005/2009, pursuit – 2007, team sprint – 2009) and two bronze medals (15 km – 2007, 50 km – 2009) at the World Championships as well as two silvers (relay at Torino 2006 and 30 km pursuit at Vancouver 2010) and two bronzes (relay – 2002, 15 km – 2006) at the Olympic Winter Games. The bronze medal at Salt Lake City was the first German Olympic cross-country relay medal. His uncle Anton and his sister Kathrin were members of the German biathlon national team but could never qualify for the Olympic Games.

He was the partner of current golf pro Martina Eberl for a long time but later began a relationship with former biathlete Romy Groß, by whom he had a daughter in 2008.
