Ouname Mhotsha is a female professional golf player, a pioneer, a youth mentor, and a community developer from Botswana, Southern Africa. She has attained 16 amateur wins, including two international wins. She obtained full US College golf sponsorships to join women’s golf teams at Alcorn State University and the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she completed her B.Sc in Agriculture Economics and M.S in Forest Resources, respectively. She hopes to inspire young girls to take up the sport and encourage investment in golf accessibility in Botswana and around the world. Ouname enjoys doing emvrionmental sustainability community projects and spending time doing outdoor activities.

Thanya Monana Projects

The Thanya Monana Projects will be a series of sports and youth development initiatives that will utilize the sport of golf to address inequalities and economic challenges faced by underserved communities in Botswana. The projects aim to be the leading voice (or contribute to )of golf philanthropy in Botswana and will work to create a space and network for youth businesses and organizations to connect and learn from each other.
