Karen Lineth Ariza Carranza
Karen Lineth Ariza Carranza is a trilingual political scientist and sports journalist, fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with intermediate French. She is the founder and director of Tribuna Krizol, a platform dedicated to storytelling on sport, gender, society and peacebuilding.
Alongside her work as a researcher, content creator, university lecturer and futsal player, Karen is an active advocate for women’s rights and inclusion in sport. She is a member of the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Colombia, and has been recognised with prestigious academic honours, including the Excellence and Caribbean Talent Award (2011) for top students and leaders in the Colombian Caribbean, and the Santander Bank International Exchange Scholarship (2014) for South America’s leading students.
Tribuna Krizol documents and promotes changemaking and peacebuilding in sport through storytelling and the innovative Krizol Method. The project identifies and highlights changemakers in Colombia’s sports ecosystem, develops gender and social inclusion strategies, and creates safe spaces for dialogue, networking, and knowledge-sharing.
Through training in Olympic values, peacebuilding, and gender-focused leadership, Tribuna Krizol equips emerging leaders to develop their initiatives and contribute to a more inclusive sporting environment. Launching its website and online presence in late 2024, the project seeks to grow into a hub for education, advocacy and collaboration – inspiring tolerance, equality and social cohesion through sport.
